- Video documentation: Ingrid Mwangi will document on video Fenenin El-Rahhal a part of her series of films on artists and collaborations between artists. Lara Baladi will also document on video while filming jointly with the other participants, as an extension of the group’s eyes.
- Individual and collective art works using various media (drawing, painting, photography, video, music or performance), texts, diaries, and others will be produced. They will be documented on the website.
- Participants are encouraged to propose venues and other platforms for cultural exchange to exhibit and present works produced during the journey or during the stay in Cairo.
- The first venue where the participants are invited to share with the public their experience of this working artists’ summit, is the Townhouse Gallery of Contemporary Art on the 12th of December 2006. The second venue will hopefully be in Johannesburg in the context of the showcasing of Africa Remix, in January 2007.
Cause and effect: Chain Reaction
Participants are encouraged to show the outcome of Fenenin El-Rahhal freely, in as many venues, publications, festivals and conferences, collectively or individually.
However, they are requested to inform the administrator of the project in order to continuously update Fenenin El-Rahhal’s web site. Mention of Fenenin El-Rahhal should accompany all works related to and produced during and after the expedition to create a chain reaction. |
