The experts are researching about the Siberian seal. They still have no clue how this species came to the Baikal Lake. There are many mysteries surrounding the Lake Baikal. Even the name brings a lot of questions and doubts. Baikal means “rich fire” in Mongolian. In many other languages Baikal stands for rich lake. There is a tiny crustacean present in Baikal Lake. It consumes various bacteria and algae to maintain purity of this lake. In every square meter of Baikal Lake there are nearly three million Baikal Epishura present.
